We have secured for our students full scholarships and/or maximum financial aid at prestigious universities like Brown University, Cornell University, Dartmouth College, Harvard University, Howard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Princeton University, Stanford University, St John’s University, University of Toronto University of Miami, Williams College, Yale University, York University (Canada).

Our students on undergraduate scholarships have gone on to secure scholarships at graduate schools.

We have assisted our graduate students in securing the prestigious and established scholarships like the Fulbright scholarship, Commonwealth Scholarships and British Chevening Scholarships as well as internal university scholarships/graduate assistantships.

Here are Some Profiles of the Academy’s Scholarship Winners for 2005.


KRISTELLE GENE
Kristelle identified her goals at an early age she wants to become a veterinary surgeon. In pursuit of this dream Kristelle attained 8 Grade I’s at the CXC level out of Naparima Girls High School in 2003. An avid sportswoman and accomplished musician she is currently awaiting the results of her A’Level examinations….but she is one step closer to realizing her dream, Kristelle will begin studies at a prestigious American university in August 2005 on full scholarship.

FELISHA BAHADUR
Another outstanding “Naps” girl, Felisha achieved eight grade one’s at the CXC Level and is currently awaiting the results of the GCE A’Levels. An accomplished artist, Felisha has won numerous art and essay competions. Her goal is to become a Journalist .. she says “.The use of truths, whether universal, social or isolated, to enlighten and inspire the world, especially the people of the Caribbean, is what I believe I can best achieve given my talents and my enthusiasm”. Felisha will begin her studies on full scholarship at a reputable university in the Fall of 2005.

ANTONIO SCOTLAND
Former student of Gasparillo Composite and St Benedict’s College , Antonio earned academic accolades at both schools. Just as he excelled at two secondary schools, Antonio won two full scholarships to prestigious American universities. He is an avid reader and loves Einstein’s “Relativity”, in fact his personal credo is “It is less important to become a person of success than it is to become a person of value”. Antonio’s non-academic interests include football and computer design. Antonio’ studies at a at a prestigious American university will commence in Fall 2005.

MAURISSA CHARLES
Having achieved 10 CXC passes in 2003, Maurissa, is currently awaiting A’Level results from St Joseph’s Convent, San Fernando. Maurissa’s interests include voluntary work at the paediatric ward, dancing, school choir and piano. This exceptionally accomplished young student will commence her studies on full scholarship at a highly regarded American University in the Fall of 2005.

PETER RAMSUMAIR
Peter received outstanding CXC passes in 2003, a senior member of his school’s student council at Presentation College, Peter is currently awaiting GCE A’Level results. Peter believes in the importance of evenly distributing his time and effort into both academic and extracurricular activities. He will begin his studies on full scholarship at a prestigious American university in the Fall of 2005.

ANDRE JEFFERS
A passionate soccer player of Naparima College, San Fernando, Andre Jeffers is an extremely talented young man, he holds 10 CXC passes and is currently awaiting A’Level results. Andre declared in October of 2004 that he was going to attend the university of his choice in the Fall of 2005. This year Andre is off on full scholarship to the American university of his choice. What the heart can conceive, the mind can achieve.

TIMOTHY RAMNARINE
Timothy’s amazing success story!!
Timothy says that his motivation has forever been to “defy the odds and follow his dreams…”
Timothy, an outstanding secondary school student of ASJA Boys’ College and amateur botanist, achieved outstanding CXC passes in 2003, he is currently awaiting results of his GCE A’Levels. Timothy took the SAT in May 2005, fully expecting to begin his university studies in 2006. Through St George’s Academy, he met with the Director of Admissions of an American university in June of 2005, his academic credentials were so impressive that he was offered a full scholarship on the spot. Yes! He accepted and is due to begin studies in August of 2005.

REGAN DEONANAN
A past student of Naparima Boy’s College Regan Deonanan, won a full scholarship from St George’s Academy in 2001. While at university Regan was on the Dean’s honor roll from 2002-2004, he was the President of the university’s Actuarial Science club and Vice President of numerous organizations.
In 2005 Regan has graduated Summa cum Laude (with highest honours) with two (2) degrees in four years from a reputable American university.The BS in Mathematics with concentration in Actuarial Science and the BA in economics

ALICIA SHIELDS
A former student of St Joseph’s Convent, Alicia won a full scholarship in 2001. “My experience at St George’s Academy proved to be beneficial to me in America, I met my Mathematics teacher from St George’s Academy in America and he recommended me to Stanford university, where I was accepted to pursue my Master’s degree in Genetics in Fall of 2005”
